The Group’s principal activity during the year remained the international trading and distribution of steel and steel making raw materials.
2025 Highlights:
- Stemcor’s 2025 performance was again stronger than the external trading environment implied, sourcing and delivering 2.8mt (2024: 2.8mt) of steel and raw materials
- Total revenue of US$1.6bn (2024: US$1.8bn) reflects a change in the sales mix for 2025, with a greater proportion of raw materials invoiced during the year. It should also be noted that prices in most markets remained at relatively low levels throughout the year.
- Despite the ongoing weak market conditions, the Stemcor team successfully navigated the increasingly complex trading landscape, which was further impacted by protectionist measures across multiple markets,
- Gross Profit of US$83m (2024: US$78m)
- EBITDA(1) of US$26m (2024: US$27m)
- Underlying profit before tax(2) of US$9m (2024: US$10m)
- Net assets increased to US$227m (2024: USD$209m)
